New Driveway

Last week we had the pavers (is that a word?) here for two days tearing up the driveway and repaving. I was so glad for this to finally be done because the driveway was in really terrible condition.

Here is a picture looking over at Christian's parents house and down toward the road the first day.

This is looking up toward the pole barn and shop area. This area was just stone.

This is looking straight out our "front" door that is really our side door but the one that is our entryway.

I love looking at before and after pictures! This looks so much better!!

This is looking up toward the pole barn after. Grace is on her skates. The kids are having a blast utilizing this whole big area to bike, skate, skateboard and pull their wagons on.
This is looking down toward the road again.
It is a gorgeous fall day today. You would hardly know is was November 2nd.
Here Christian is giving Patrick skateboarding therapy. Too cute. Someday Patrick will be doing this on his own. Here's to Hope!
Asher gets pulled around in the wagos and various carts we have all over the place.
Notice our new van in the background? I forgot to post about that but we upgraded our mini-van for a conversion van. Sweet ride! It's has the same amount of seating capacity but is much roomier and more comfortable inside. Gotta love those mood lights too. ;)

When Christian and I got married I told him that my dream car was a 15 passenger van. I wanted it filled with children. We actually won a newleywed game once with Christian answering the question, "what is your wife's dream car" with that answer. It was pretty funny but he knew the answer immediately and we both smirked at each other when the question was given. While this isn't our "dream" van I feel like we made the next step on our way there. Go ahead and laugh. I know you think I am out there already so what's new?
I feel so blessed to have the house and property that we have. Loving grandparents right next door and beautiful children to enjoy it with.

Well, I am off to head outside with the kids to enjoy the beautiful weather with them while it lasts.

There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh blacktop! It looks awesome!

I just drove past your house today (I was over at our new house doing some work) and noticed the nicely paved driveway ... it looks great!
I'm thinking if you want to fill up a 15 passenger van with children you need to get a move on it with another baby. ;)

A paved driveway with place for kiddos to skate etc is great. What about skinned knees, but come to think of it, you always can expect that. I agree it was beautiful today- at least this afternoon, but I spent my time figuring time cards! Keep on "blogging"!

Awesome before and after pics. As for skinned knees, yes they'll get that even without blacktop driveways. Do I take it that you got the camera ok? Did you figure out how to get good sunny pics?

The driveway looks fantastic. That will go a long way toward helping you to keep your house cleaner and the kids seem to be enjoying it as well.

That driveway paving has been a long time coming! I remember fixing the cracks with tar for a couple days and it never lasted long! Looks nice!
